Kyoko is currently studying Political Science at Temple University Japan Campus, and is also an auditor of the F-Word. She has received scholarships for TUJ continuing students. She is also working for Uprizine, which is an intersectional feminist zine club at TUJ, as a Special Executive for Translation. Her interest lies in Japanese and NZ politics and gender inequality. This is because her family is a traditional farming family in Japan, and she has lived in New Zealand and Aotearoa.
